Here's page 23 of Fusion #8, and our gal dispenses some justice. In case anyone is wondering--she is using blasts of non-lethal kinetic energy.

That's the big question, but that's a matter for Issue #9.

brilliant framing. the militamen remind me of hiroshima blast shadows. do not anger happy fun fusion. if only this world had someone like her to stand up for the many, many refugees, slaves, and other oppressed people.

Being military and having dealt with people like this before, I can tell you that fear will only work for so long. It's nice in the comic world to use non-lethal force, but in our world once they realize your not killing them they will come right back and be even worse than before to prove that they have the power, not you. But I am really enjoying watching Fusion stomp on these scumbags...

What you're talking about here will be directly addressed next issue. As a slight teaser (and I hope you folks won't consider this a spoiler), Fusion's exact words next issue are, "Yeah, I stopped the militia, but they’ll be back . . . and probably in greater force."

I'm afraid things are only going to get more complicated for our heroine.

Leave it to Savunn to take a very grim situation and find a way to toss a Star Wars reference in there. Can't wait to see the page.

Tolrick--It took me a minute to realize you were talking about my previous reply to Oz. And, to be precise, Obi-Wan says "and in greater numbers." But I did hear Obi-Wan's voice when I later read the line in the script (although I didn't hear it when I first wrote it).

Yeah, this comment systems leaves it a touch fuzzy as to if something is a reply or not.

Unintentional references still count as it -is- Savunn we're talking about. She seems the sort to slip them in without even thinking about them, which is part of the reason we fans like her so much.

This has been a great story so far, I've really enjoyed reading Fusion's story. I like the way that she's left my involved with international conflict, it will be an interesting series of events.

Thanks. It's a story that's long been brewing (first mention of Darmar was actually back in Issue #4). I was a bit nervous about the more serious tone this arc takes, but hopefully you folks are more invested in the characters than just the humor.
