I wonder how Mindmistress,Dasien,Yuuki, Sidekick Girl, any of the Magellan heroes, Sydney from Grrl Power or Magical Girl Neil would've handle Fracture?
mindmistress would play mind games. dasien would save the people instead of going toe to toe with fracture. yuuki would wail on fracture and not stop to talk. magellan would have different plans based on who was there (some would take on fracture, some would keep the people away from fracture, some would try and distract/confuse/manipulate fracture). not sure about the rest.
any telepath could probably take on fracture and do well. as for physically, i doubt there is any that could. i assume his abilities are similar to fusions, which means that his invincibility relies on instinctual negation of force with and equal amount of his own. his power limits are well beyond most super powered people by a fair amount, same with fusion. fusions power allows her immunity to the energy released from the fusion reactions, and thus any typical energy type weapon would be useless. any physical force needs matter to transmit the kinetic energy, which gets obliterated by either the process or the energy released from the process of her fusion reactions. this means that she is invulnerable at will. if fracture is similar then both have tremendous offensive ability (at will nuclear power) and are essentially invulnerable. direct confrontation is futile, unless one has come up with a very specific method of bypassing the resistances (black holes, dark matter, etc.).
jamoecw--Not sure how a telepath would do. Fracture is very damaged psychologically (and, yes, we'll eventually learn why--and it ain't pretty), so any telepath would have a psychic minefield to cross when it comes to messing with Fracture's mind.
Sydney would put her shield up and then Lighthook Fracture into the ground anytime s/he (i'm not sure which) picked up momentum... At least until s/he's ready to listen
Aussie Bloke--A concerted team effort probably would be the best course of action. But putting Fracture to ground could backfire (for reasons that'll be eventually discussed--needless to say, there's a reason Fracture erupted from the ground and didn't drop from the sky in Darmar). Plus, you kinda have to walk on eggshells when confronting her--don't wanna push her into destroying another planet.
I get the feeling we've seen whoever the Fracture entity bonded with before. Savunn became Fusion. Harold became Pharaomoan. That leaves two people who were there to see the arrival during the stargazing. Savunn's boyfriend and Nate, the science club president and future astronaut.
I'm thinking Fracture is actually Nate for some reason.
Or I could be completely wrong and it's actually a very well disguised Jeannie. :)
SteinarB--Ha ha, about Jeanie. (Although it's been established that Bob's kind are forbidden to fuse to child-bearers--something Bob's in violation of, as Penelope pointed out. Still, it's a funny idea.) However, when Bob's kind came into Fusion's world, the energy was spread over a wide area and wasn't localized to just the party Savunn was at. It's likely that the energies were dispersed all across the Dual Cities region (and perhaps further).
