Here's page 18 of Fusion #11, and it seems the talk has moved on to aggressive negotiations. (I think Savunn would approve of that description.)

Judging by his expression in the last panel, this did not go how he expected it to.

The fool has no idea what he's asking.

If she comes to him in chains, it's because she's *allowing* it. And that should scare the everloving crap out of him.

The Aussie Bloke--Ha! Very true. I hope Musa is merely speaking figuratively.

I like that expression in the last frame, perhaps he realizes that Brooder is wearing a bulletproof uniform or just a hologram...!

Looking forward to seeing Savunn and what she's up to.

I think Brooder merely replaced the rounds in the mag with blanks.
EssayBee 14th Jul 2015, 11:27 AM edit delete reply
ElisaSky--Nope. They're live rounds and not blanks.

love that final expression, and you did an excellent job on the lighting. :) Me thinks psygirl (is that her name?) is protecting him, or something.
EssayBee 14th Jul 2015, 11:24 AM edit delete reply
Xade--I like the Psy-Girl idea, but, as you'll see, Musa may require more than the standard intimidation, and a psychic implant probably wouldn't do the trick (and I don't think Psy-Girl would resort to psychic terrorism). Plus, Brooder would never involve the Fab Five (who aren't even members of SAS) in any sort of Black File mission (not that that stopped him from influencing Fusion).

Will Brooder deliver Fusion to Darmar's president or risk an international incident if he refuses?!?!?
KittyK 14th Jul 2015, 12:54 PM edit delete reply
It might be too obvious, but I'm pretty sure that's not actually Brooder but Captain Stupendous in Brooder's costume. Superman dressed up as batman once, at least he did in the animated series universe.

KittyK--Ha! That was a great episode.

I remember watching it when I was younger, I thought it was the most awesome thing ever lol. But ya, I figured that Stupendous could be wearing a fancy mask that would make him more closely resemble Brooder, because unlike Superman and Batman, they don't look nearly identical even with a mask on. My other thought is that Stupendous might've been waiting in the wings to swoop in and catch the bullets.

Honestly, the notion that such a meticulous planner as Brooder (or any batman analogue really) would leave such an obvious target on their face vulnerable to random (or precise) gunfire, explosions, melee strikes and all the many many many bad things that could happen to such a weak spot is kind of silly to me. So rather obviously, there's some trick to the costume, transparent aluminum? Invisible titanium? Force fields or what have you, one way or the other I would be seriously surprised if he needed anyone to stop a simple bullet to the face from resulting in a fatal injury for him.
