Here's page 12 of Fusion #12, and it seems like the Congressional hearings into Fusion's activities in Darmar (not that Congress knows who was in Darmar) has some consequences.

Kether 15th Mar 2016, 7:09 AM
Yeah, and I'm sure that this "consequence" for Fusion is completely political in nature has absolutely nothing to do with Brooder feeling responsible for what happened to her and trying to atone a bit.
Because it's not like Savunn ever wished to be in SAS or anything...
EssayBee 15th Mar 2016, 8:57 AM
Kether--Fusion's feelings on the matter may be a bit more complicated, as you'll find out next page.
Just_IDD 15th Mar 2016, 7:19 AM
I was getting the impression prior to her leaving for the Cross-Overkill event that she was having second thoughts about joining SAS as a full member. Now that choice has aparently been taken from her completely. I wonder if she'll tell Brooder to just stuff SAS. I would certainly ask the question of him. I mean what right does he have in taking this decision for her. Especially since his pseudo error led to her going in the first place.

We already know there is no consequences to her if she stays powered up all of the time. It would make certain activities with Shane difficult. We know that shooting her when powered and she knows she is is being shot is something that doesn't work, but what if she is in the uniform and gets sniped? Would that projectile also not affect her? or what if she is sniped while not powered up?

Just_IDD--You'll get Fusion's reaction to this next page, and you're right that her feelings are a bit more complicated than they would've been before the whole Darmar situation.

I guess what I'm asking is after joining with 'Bob' is Savaun fundamentally changed? Is squishy her as a squishy human still something she needs to be hyper-vilagant about protection for?
CCC 15th Mar 2016, 7:29 AM
JustIDD: Fusion got sniped before. Fusion #4, page 5. She incinerated the bullet no problem. (Of course, if she gets shot when she's not powered up, then that's different)
Just_IDD 22nd Mar 2016, 7:14 AM
That's what I'm wondering. When BOB frst merged with her she felt intense discomfort and even threw-up. As did the pheromone guy. What I'm wondering if that changed her structure at that point. I guess my point is if she has taken any damage while not powered up. If she has then I would seriously consider not joining a very public organization such as SAS unless her anonymity has already been compromised. Joining such a group would lead to more chances for that loss, not fewer. This can be proven by the research that she herself did through the public library to discover Brooder's true identity.

So it's official,Fusion's in the SAS?
Do they have a junior division for heroes who are under eighteen?
EssayBee 15th Mar 2016, 8:54 AM
Black Rose--There's no junior division, although, as discussed back in Issue #2, minors do need parental consent--unless SAS is "ignorant" of the members age (again as established in Issue #2 (see http://fusion.thecomicseries.com/comics/37/ ), and apparently applied to Fusion in Issue #3--see http://fusion.thecomicseries.com/comics/65/ ).
Black Rose 15th Mar 2016, 11:22 AM
Oh well, hopefully we'll see the SAS heroes who are under eighteen in the future?

Maybe they're member of a team similar to either the Legion of Superheroes and/or the Teen Titans?
Xade 15th Mar 2016, 8:56 AM
love her expression in the final panel. That expression of Riviter is pretty good too, likwe she's hiding a smile
EssayBee 15th Mar 2016, 9:54 AM
Xade--I think Riveter just gets exasperated with Brooder's statements that evade other issues. Brooder likes to control his message, and Riveter likes to call him out on it--especially when she likes the person he's being evasive with.
KLCtheBookWorm 15th Mar 2016, 7:45 PM
Whelp, I was wrong on my call that they would forbid her from joining SAS. But she's had a hard lesson in political reality. SAS and other organization couldn't help the refugees. So many would have died.

So... congrats?

Will this membership be shortlived?
...(RockB) 9th Nov 2017, 10:55 AM
Without having looked at the next page and what is announced as "mixed feelings", I hereby say that this is another win for Lord. Now he can hold the SAS accountable which takes the "joker card Fusion" out of Brooder's hands.

EssayBee 10th Nov 2017, 9:17 PM
I really like that joker card analogy. And tying Fusion's (and hence Brooder's) hands by official SAS membership is indeed a victory for Lord.
